TransferMyCloud moves files at its users’ instruction. We do not publish a catalogue and we do not make stored files publicly discoverable. Where a user moves infringing material, we act on valid notices from rights holders.

Sending a takedown notice

Send notices to [email protected]. To be actionable, a notice must include:

  • identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
  • the specific URL or share link on our service that you are asking us to disable — a general description is not enough for us to act;
  • your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

  • We aim to acknowledge a complete notice within one business day and to disable access promptly once it is validated.
  • Because download links are short-lived and issued per request rather than being permanent, disabling a file takes effect immediately — there is no long-lived link left in circulation.
  • The affected user is notified and given a copy of the notice, minus your contact details where we are able to withhold them.
  • We record a content fingerprint so the same material cannot simply be transferred again through our service.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was disabled in error or through misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address including the material identified, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction. We may restore the material after the statutory waiting period unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed an action.

Repeat infringers

We keep a record of validated notices against each account. Accounts that accumulate repeat strikes are terminated and their remaining credits are forfeited, as set out in the Terms of Service.

Misuse of this process

Knowingly submitting a false notice may make you liable for damages. Please make sure you hold the rights before sending one.
